Hanson Building Specialties was established in November 1999, by its president, James P. Hanson. Jim's technical background is in the field of Mechanical Drafting. He began his career in sales with Halm Building Specialties in 1987. W In 1989, he joined Pro Fastening Systems as a sales representative. In 1990, he expanded Pro Fastening's market to include Wisconsin, culminating in the opening of its Wisconsin office in 1991. Jim was Branch Manager and head sales representative with Pro Fastening-WI until he resigned in order to establish Hanson Building Specialties in 1999.
Hanson Building Specialties was established with customer service in mind. Our product offering is customer driven and is always changing and expanding based upon customer needs.
Because of his honesty, diligence, and expertise, Jim has long standing customer relationships - including many valued friendships - with the area's best contractors. He was appointed to the Board of the Wisconsin Roofing Contractor's Association (WRCA) and is proud to serve as its
first
non-contractor Board member! He has also served on the Board of the Wisconsin chapter of the American Subcontractor's Association (ASA) and was a general member of the Associated General Contractor's Association (AGC) of Greater Milwaukee.
